Building A Safer Field
At Turf Tek USA, we believe an athletic field and surface should be built with the player's safety as the priority. That's why we use only the highest quality shock padding that provides a reduced risk of potential injuries with non-toxic infills that are safe for both the players and the environment. Here's why a Turf Tek system is built better:
No Crumb Rubber
Our infill product is a fracture-proof, quartz sand that extends the lifespan of your turf. It is a natural material that does not have any off-gassing capabilities. Quartz sand infill also keeps the surface area about 10°-15° cooler than surfaces with crumb rubber. Quartz sand will also require less maintenance as crumb rubber can travel with the athlete and needs to be re-filled often. While typically more expensive up front, we believe our athlete's health is of the utmost importance and there should be no compromise here.
Quality Shock Padding
Our padding is designed to provide a cushion-like surface that reduces the overall impact of falls, reducing the risk of serious harm. Maintaining a Head Impact Code (HIC) of up to 6' fall height, the impact-absorbing padding provides a soft, safe cushioning system beneath the turf, while also being made of one of the most durable polymers on earth which results in a field that is flat and consistent underfoot. A bonus is that the padding provides an additional layer of max drainage so the athletes can get back on the field quicker - without muddy puddles!
